How would you describe your shooting style?
I'm probably one of the most relaxed people you will ever meet in your life, and that directly translates to my shooting style. The galleries I deliver are a hybrid of thoughtfully composed shots as well as more "fly on the wall" style where I capture you and your loved ones in your natural state. My goal is to help you foster a connection with yourself and your loved ones during the session and to have you leave the experience feeling no pressure. Before we begin, I will give you a small primer on some general things to keep in mind during the session. Absolutely no posing experience is necessary as I will offer gentle posing and prompting guidance throughout our session!
If you have little ones who aren't exactly keen on staying still for photos, you've come to the right person. I'm a huge believer in capturing my subjects as they are. When I say "Come as you are," I mean it. That's where the magic happens. My editing style will accentuate you in your beautiful surroundings with bold, vibrant colors that emulate a rich oil painting.
What should I wear?
Every client has a unique story to tell. I CANNOT stress enough the impact your wardrobe will make on the final product. During our consultation, we will discuss your wardrobe options in coordination with all members who will be photographed as well as the environment you choose. I enjoy coordinating outfits with my clients and will be more than happy to help guide your clothing options! Rules of thumb include the use of layers and accessories, avoidance of distracting colors and patterns, and coordination with each other.
As a new courtesy, I have decided to invest in a style closet that will be available for free to clients who book any of the Collections. The overall vibe of the client closet is boho chic, with most dresses being maxi length. Sizes are available from small to XL. There will be several dresses for girls size 4T-6T as well.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions will take place either during sunrise or sunset and typically last 45-90 minutes, depending on the chosen package. Expect to start the session 45 minutes prior to sunrise/sunset, as this time period provides the most flattering lighting.
How will my photos be delivered?
Your photos will be hosted on a beautiful online gallery that will be shareable. You will have the ability to download full-resolution copies from this gallery. You will have control over which photos will remain visible to the public. Photos will be delivered within four weeks.
Do you do destination shoots?
Yes. Your package will default to the "Dreamweaver Travel Session" as described in the "Rates" section above. Destination shoots are done for an additional fee based on distance and travel time from Queen Creek, AZ (area code 85140). A travel fee will be incurred at a rate of $0.70/mile beyond the 50-mile radius. Pricing for out-of-state destinations that require a flight will be discussed prior to the agreement. Please feel free to reach out for quotes if you have a special location in mind!
*Example pricing calculation; Sedona is 320 miles roundtrip from Queen Creek, AZ. 320 miles minus the 100-mile allotment equals 220 miles charged at $0.70 per mile for a total of $154. This fee will be added to the Dreamweaver (travel session) base rate of $900 for a grand total of $1054.
Do you do weddings?
Thank you for your interest. At this time, I do not photograph weddings.
However, I am available for elopements. Please inquire about adventure sessions.
What kind of gear do you use?
I shoot only with natural light utilizing a Sony ecosystem and prime lenses. No flash is used in my work.
Do you give your clients the raw files?
No, I do not under any circumstances. The images that are provided to my clients reflect my evolving vision at the time of delivery. This vision not only includes my shooting style but my editing style as well, and therefore must be protected from misrepresentation. Thank you for your understanding.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Zelle or Venmo as payment. The full payment, less the non-refundable deposit, will be due the day before the session.
Cash payment may be accepted on the day of the shoot and will earn you a $50 discount.
